Ayam penyet AP

Ayam penyet AP

Yes, another smashed chicken (literally ayam penyet) place!

The menu.

The pecal! Pecal consists of 2-3 types of vegetables. Mainly
cucumbers, cabbage and kangkung. There's also fried tofu and
fermented soya bean cakes.  All that served with spicy peanut sauce.
Beware this is really, really spicy.
The crackers are good though.

Ayam penyet

Udang penyet - fried prawns with fried fermented soya beans,
tofu and spicy sambal.

The set of ayam penyet or udang penyet comes
with rice and these cute bottles of Coke!

SOTO

Soto Ayam!

Makan apaw! Mi Soto or soto noodles.
Yellow noodles, shredded chicken, green onions,
fried onions and the cili padi kicap sambal!
(pounded bird's eye chili fried until fragrant
and mixed with some soy sauce)
Put it all in a bowl, pour in the boiling soup
and bon appetit!

And of course an integral part of soto
is pegedel or cutlet. There's potato pegedel, chicken
pegedel, fish pegedel. Pegedel are thinly sliced
potatoes fried slightly, pounded and mixed with
green onions, fried shallots, fish or chicken if preferred,
then dipped in frothy egg white and fried.

KYOCHON 1991

Kyochon 1991 - 1Utama, Bandar Utama

Makan apaw! Right, more chicken! This time Kyochon 1991
at 1U! These are the basic series (L to R) Original soy series,
Honey series, Red series, Salsas series.

Their three promises to you!

True! It was different!

Radish - yummy but a bit tart

On to the main course. This is from their all day combo,
small set 2. For RM16.90, you get 5 Salsal pieces,
rice, soup, ice lemon tea or soda and choice of sauce,
Jambalaya, Honey mustard or red (spicy).
I chose red....it was really spicy. It wasn't a dipping
sauce for me but rather dabbing sauce!

Salsal strips - chicken breast strips coated
in rice batter. Real crispy!

Ice lemon tea - nice not sweet & I like that
square like glass.

Combo - picture is a bit blurry.

Red series - medium stick

Honey series - wings & drummet small

The waiter placed this tall steel container  on our table
and said to place the bones there. Keeps the table clean!
No bones pile next to plate, easy to dispose off too.

Gonna try this next time!

Their tapau box is the cutest! And yes, having
Lee Min Ho there doesn't hurt.
Doesn't hurt at all! LOL!
